    I wonder about this. Build an NPU into every CPU, but...AI has really been developing in leaps and bounds. Will today's NPUs actually be useful tomorrow? Or will fundamental changes to AI architecture render them useless?

    I remember when all PCs were going to be little hdmi devices which would stream a VM do any device you plug it in to.

    Aside from AI what else can I utilize an NPU for? I should rephrase, what can software developers improve with NPU's on day-to-day applications? Could it potentially improve ffmpeg performance? Could it theoretically real time improve error correction on high-loss networks somewhat like FEC but without the overhead? Could it real time remove body hair off 1970's adult entertainment?
