Show HN: Makers.page – A link-in-bio for founders with a "slot leasing" protocol

Hi HN,

I’m building makers.page because I’ve noticed a pattern among technical founders: we have high-intent traffic hitting our personal bios, but our "link-in-bio" is usually a static site or a link-tree clone that doesn't do much.

I wanted to build something that treats a maker's reach as a liquid asset.

The Core Concept: It’s a portfolio site where you can showcase your builds, but with a built-in "leasing" mechanic. You can set a price for your top-level "Featured" slot, and other makers in the community can request to lease it.

Why I’m building this:

Contextual Ads: Traditional ads are noisy. A recommendation from a founder you actually follow is high-signal.

Approval-First: The owner of the page has 100% control. You only approve the SaaS products you actually like.

Distribution for New Builds: It gives new makers a way to "buy" eyes from established builders without the friction of traditional ad platforms.

The Stack: I’m building this with Next.js 15, Framer Motion for the UI, and a PostgreSQL backend. I’ve just launched the waitlist to allow people to reserve their handles (first-come, first-served).

The Marquee: I added a "Legends" marquee on the landing page that pulls in handles from the waitlist in real-time. It’s a small detail, but I wanted the "collective" feel to be visible from the second you land.

I'd love to hear your thoughts on the "leasing" mechanic. Is this a distribution model you'd actually use, or is it too close to "selling out"?

I'll be here to answer any questions!
